We take responsibility!
Treatments in dentistry are often demanding and various things can lead to the need to redo treatment or repair something that has gone wrong. The Dental Service offers its customers a warranty on dental implant treatments, dental prosthetic treatments and filling work.
The warranty covers the dental prosthesis itself, that is to say crowns, bridges, fillings and removable dentures. The warranty does not cover damage, breakage, cracks or infections or loosening of supporting teeth. The warranty never covers breakage or damage to dental prostheses that occurs due to abnormal use, injuries or accidents or if the dental prosthesis is lost.
The dentist is not in all cases obliged to completely remake work if a defect or breakage in the construction is minor. This applies for example to minor porcelain fractures that can be polished and do not affect the function or appearance of the construction.
Generally it is assumed that the customer comes at least annually for regular check-ups to keep the warranty valid. The warranty becomes invalid if the customer does not attend regular check-ups with the dentist for 18 months. The customer undertakes to take good care of the dental prosthesis and follow the dentist’s instructions regarding care. The customer is encouraged to contact the Dental Service if something comes up that he finds abnormal regarding the dental prosthesis.
The duration of warranty is as follows:
Dental implant treatment.
Placement of dental implants is under warranty for 3 years. If the dental implant does not heal firmly the treatment is repeated free of charge. If it is not possible to repeat treatment the cost goes towards another treatment or is refunded. It is very important to contact the Dental Service immediately if there is bleeding or pus formation at the dental implant. Long-lasting inflammation or infection puts the dental implant at risk.
Porcelain construction on dental implants is under warranty for 5 years.
Porcelain construction on teeth (crowns and bridges) is under warranty for 5 years.
Bonding of porcelain crowns and bridges is under warranty for 2 years
Removable dentures and dentures made of plastic, either with metal framework or not, are under warranty for 1 year
Dental fillings are under warranty for 2 years. The dentist should be contacted within three months if there are any complaints after filling treatment.
Plastic additions are under warranty for one year.
Generally it applies that remaking, repair or fixing does not renew the warranty.
Payment arrangement at the Dental Service.
The price list of the Dental Service is based on immediate payment and generally it is assumed that each visit is paid immediately. We accept all major payment cards and we also accept cash.
We make an effort to inform about cost in advance and make cost estimates if extensive treatments are involved.
For larger work, such as construction work, dental implant operations and such, half of the cost estimate must be paid when the work begins. Final settlement takes place when treatment is completed.
If there is a need to spread payments over a longer period we offer to divide the amount into four payment slips with due date at monthly intervals. No cost is added to the amount apart from the slip fee.
If there is a need to spread payments over a longer period we offer to make an installment agreement connected to a credit card. Then it is possible to spread payments over up to 36 months.
